Geotechnical Products
Hoffman Diamond Products manufactures many types of mining bits for coring shallow holes. The types of bits include surface set, impregnated, polycrystalline diamond (PCD) and carbide. They also manufacture core catchers and reaming shells. Surface set bits are available in semi-round, step, spiral, and face discharge configurations. Their geotechnical bits drill for a variety of formations from extremely abrasive to non-abrasive and faulted to solid. Bit are specifically design to drill in many rock types including hard shale, limestone, granite, serpentine, dolomite, basalt, diorite, gabbro, gneiss, chert, rhyolite, quartzite, and sandstone.
Construction Products
Hoffman Diamond Products manufactures saw blades and thin wall coring bits for the sawing and drilling of concrete, asphalt, granite, marble, brick, block, tile and other construction materials. Saw blades sizes can range from 6’ to 60” in diameter and coring bits sizes can range from 1/2” to 48” in diameter. Hoffman excels in small to medium production runs offering customers the capability rapid prototyping of diamond tools for sawing or drilling required by unique one of kind construction or architectural projects.

Hoffman Diamond Products manufacturing an array of diamond metal bonded tools for the sawing, drilling, reaming and grinding of glass, fused silica, fiberglass, ferrites, alumina, zirconium, quartz, porcelain, sapphire, and many other ceramics throughout industry. Products include large diameter blades, grinding pads for Blanchard grinding, and close tolerance coring bits.

The construction industry demands a variety of bonds for diamond sawing and drilling tools. Diamond saw blades and bits cut or drill concrete, asphalt, brick, block, tile, granite and marble. Diamond tools have proven to be the most cost effective way to penetrate these materials.
The Grizzly Line is Hoffman's trademark for the construction supply and rental industries blades. These wet and dry blades are for smaller, hand-held saws and grinders and are designed for equipment operating at less than 18 horsepower.

Material Guidelines
- C10 - Fast cutting, concrete with hard aggregates - river gravels or fling aggregates
- C20 - Fast cutting, concrete with moderate to heavy steel and hard aggregates - river gravels or flint aggregates
- C30 - General purpose, concretes with all aggregates
- C40 - General purpose, concrete with dense limestone aggregate
- C50 - Long life, concrete with soft limestone aggregate and abrasive sand
OPTIONAL VERTICAL DROP SEGMENTS
Vertical Drop Segments (VDS) or kickers are used
on cured concrete, asphalt and green concrete blades
to retard core undercutting. VDS is available in 3
levels of undercut protection: Standard Protection
available at no charge; Extra Protection or Maximum
Protection available at a slight nominal charge.

METORAM (CERAMICS) CORING BITS
Hoffman Metoram core bits are designed with waterways for heavy duty drilling of high density ceramics, ferrites, fused cast refractories and zirconia. Bits are furnished with threaded adapters and a standard core length of 1½"

MINING, GEOLOGICAL, & GEOTECHNICAL PRODUCTS
Designed for deep hole drilling where it is important and economical to keep the bit in the hole as long as possible. Hoffman diamond has developed a new series of matrices and manufacturing techniques to produce a new series of impregnated bits. This series includes types designed to drill a complete range of rock conditions.
Developed for customers who core shallow holes into rock, the Hawk offers a heavy concentration and depth of impregnation comparable to many higher priced bits. Contact us for our recommendations.
CONDOR SURFACE SERIES SET
The Condor Series is generally used in softer rock formations. Hoffman offers a complete range of coring bits, reaming shells, casing shoes/bits, and non-coring bits for any size tooling.

PCD PRODUCTS
In keeping with Hoffman's strategy to be at the cutting edge of diamond bit and tool technology, the application of polycrystalline diamond compacts was an early priority. PCD tools are generally
run on drills with higher torque and lower RPM than Surface Set or Impregnated Bits
